how good design saves you weight and money

It’s that time of the year again, for those of us not yet prepping for the ski season, were left reflecting on what gear worked and what didn’t.
I often find that gear falls into three categories:
- Essentials
- Comforts
- And I’m replacing this as soon as I get home
The latter is something I said in 2023, upon realising I would yet again be “drying myself” with a microfibre towel, aka air drying.
Which led me to ask, what is it that makes our comforts, an essential.
You probably have them too, the piece of equipment that you probably don’t need but bring anyways.
For me, it’s a full sized tripod..which usually ends up performing more as a drying rack
But what about the really good stuff, the multipurpose gear that shines.
To me, this is the real beauty of the ecotowel, I have folks telling me all the time something along the lines of:
“You know your towel is actually really good as a; blanket, skit, hairwrap, pillowcase, sun shade, etc.”
And that’s the real magic of good gear, saving weight and money by having multiple functions, and bringing you joy in the process.
